Lucy Turner Lucy Turner of furniture design company Higher Market Studio, Penryn specialises in re-inventing tired pieces of furniture. These are bespoke sustainable designs for the home. Each piece is transformed with the clever use of laser cut laminate. The contrast of the coloured laminate with the wood accentuates the form and highlights the unusual features that are sometimes lost. Each object is unique.

Heather Frary Heather moved to Cornwall from Norfolk 4 years ago and very soon found herself helping Julia with her glass work. Her love for glass runs parallel with a love of fabric. Influenced and taught from a very early age by her gran, who made rag rugs and gollies from left over jumble cloths, she is at present making assorted cushions, cosies and fabric cup cakes. She has recently extended her range to include draught excluders but who knows what she'll come up with next. And who knows what it was to start with! *** New for AW08 Heather's new cosy collection entitled "T.Leaves & Coffee Beans" is available exclusively at Julia Mills Gallery. Come in now to see her latest pieces *** CLICK ON THUMBNAILS FOR BIGGER PICTURE

Annie Sherburne Annie Sherburne is passionate about art, and the sustainability of people, skills and materials. Her life and work are dedicated to the production of beautiful things that represent our modern age by linking inspiration from the past with today's technology, economy and means of production. Annie has run her own business since the early 1980's and was a founding member of the International Felt makers association, and pioneer of feltmaking. She made patterned felt hats (examples of which are in the V&A and the Musee Des Modes in the Louvre in Paris). Other examples of her work may be found in the Whitworth art gallery textile collection, the British Crafts Council collection, Kunstindustrimuseum in Trondheim Norway, The British Council jewellery collection, Lotus software HQ, HM Home office, and many other public, commercial and private collections internationally. Graduating from both St. Martins (for fashion) and Goldsmiths (Textiles) and working for Jean Muir, Annie's experiences led her to investigate the environmental impact of design. She has been incorporating environmentally friendly materials into her design work for 10 years, and has won prestigious awards for these designs and pieces. She continues her research as a post-graduate at Kingston University. With increasing concern about environmental issues, Annie's emphasis on sustainability, zero waste and recycling is at the height of ethical fashion.
